The Pickleball Hive (TPH) – Terms and Conditions
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 15 years old (under 15 years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who makes the booking) to use our Services. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
2. Account Registration
To reserve courts, participate in events, or access certain features, you may be required to create an account your Hivesports.podplay.app. You agree to provide accurate and complete information, and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activities under your account.
3. Use of Services
You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the Services in any way that breaches applicable Australian laws or regulations
- Harass, threaten, or harm other users
- Misuse, disrupt, or interfere with the Website or PodPlay App
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Use our name, logo, or branding without prior written consent
4. Bookings, Fees, and Payments
Court bookings, programs, and memberships may involve fees. All payments are processed securely via PodPlay or authorised third-party platforms. Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change pricing and service availability at any time.5. Cancellation Policy
The Pickleball Hive (TPH) operates on a 24-hour cancellation policy, which applies to all court bookings and scheduled sessions.
Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the scheduled session will incur no charge.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the session start time, or failure to attend, will incur the full session fee.
No refunds are provided. Eligible cancellations will receive a virtual credit applied through the account booking made via Hive Sports (hivesports.podplay.app).
Credits currently have no expiry date; however, this is subject to change.
Late arrivals do not qualify for extended session time, a refund, or a credit. It is helpful to let TPH know if you are running late, especially for organised sessions.
Corporate, team-building, and private bookings may have separate cancellation terms.
Multi-week programs, coaching blocks, and leagues follow the same 24-hour rule. Make-up sessions or credits may be offered at management discretion and depend on availability.
If TPH cancels a session due to weather, safety, or venue issues, participants will receive a virtual credit or no charge to their booking. Please note our booking system places a hold on your credit card if the booking is made within 6 days of the event. If a session or booking does no go ahead this hold will be removed and no charge will be incurred. If the booking is made more than 7 days then a refund or virtual credit will be processed.
6. Code of Conduct
The Pickleball Hive is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful community. You agree to treat all players, staff, and community members with respect. TPH reserves the right to remove participants from events or restrict access to Services for breaches of these standards.7. Events and Programs
By registering for events or programs, you agree to any additional terms provided at the time of registration. TPH reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify programs at our discretion. Participation is at your own risk, and you may are required to sign a waiver through the app.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on our Website, including text, images, logos, and design, is owned or licensed by TPH and protected under Australian intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
9. Third-Party Services
Our Services may link to or integrate with third-party platforms such as PodPlay. We are not responsible for the content, privacy, or practices of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TPH shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid, if any, for accessing our Services in the 12 months prior to the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TPH, its affiliates, officers, and staff from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Services, breach of these Terms, or infringement of any rights.
12. Termination
TPH reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe breaches these Terms or is otherwise harmful to our community.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by posting the updated version on our Website. Continued use of the Services after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Queensland, Australia.
